The 67th Grammy Awards are just weeks away and one of the biggest categories could be set for a major upset.

According to Gold Derby, which specializes in awards show coverage and predictions, the Album of the Year will either go to Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft or Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter.

Both albums were tied with four votes each from Gold Derby’s experts and editors.

In a shocking twist, it appears that Grammy favorite Taylor Swift may miss out this year for her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

The singer’s record-breaking concert film The Eras Tour was already snubbed in the Best Music Film category, despite being the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

Grammy experts have predicted that Billie Eilish could take home Album of the Year for Hit Me Hard and Soft

Beyonce's Cowboy Carter is also tipped as an Album of the Year contender

According to predictions from experts, the 2025 Grammy for Album of the Year is between Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft and Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter

Very few awards show experts have tipped The Tortured Poets Department for an Album of the Year win – and even a prominent psychic has predicted a major loss for the record.

In an interview with Casino.org, celebrity psychic and astrology reader Inbaal Honigman said, ‘Taylor Swift isn’t shown as a big winner within the big four categories.’

She added: ‘The calm Four of Swords Tarot card indicates that this specific awards ceremony yields modest results for the talented star.’

For some of the other Grammy categories, all of Gold Derby’s experts and editors unanimously agreed that Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso will take home Record of the Year.

Billie’s Birds of a Feather is tipped for Song of the Year, while Chappell Roan is the overwhelming favorite to win Best New Artist.

It comes as Grammy Award viewers shared their thoughts online following news that Trevor Noah will host the annual ceremony next month for the fifth consecutive year.

The 40-year-old comedian will once again lead proceedings on February 2 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

However, the news didn’t necessarily inspire the reaction that organizers might have hoped for as fans flooded to X, formerly known as Twitter, with posts revealing their desire for someone new to take the reins.

One X user wrote: ‘This announcement is more boring than Trevor Noah (@Trevornoah) being the actual host of the Grammys.

‘He was given a chance four times and he was consistently stale every time with his lame jokes.’

Another commented: ‘Trevor is great, but they need to switch it up a bit.’

‘Trevor Noah hosting the Grammys again? At this point, he’s got more Grammy gigs than most artists have awards,’ one fan joked. ‘Consistency is key, I guess.’

Another tweeted: ‘He’s cool and all, but after five years, surely they switch it up.’

‘Guess Trevor Noah is the official “Grammy whisperer” at this point!’ one fan joked.

Another mused: ‘Guess he’s the only guy left who still picks up their calls. lol.’

‘A different host would be nice,’ one fan stated, while another agreed: ‘It’s getting stale now.’

One fan voiced their displeasure as they tweeted: ‘Boooo! So bland with his jokes. Can we get an actual comedian who isn’t scared of making fun of celebs?’

However, some took a different approach, as one shared: ‘Trevor Noah hosting the Grammys for the fifth time? Guess they’ve finally realized he’s the best part of the show, year after year!’

‘He’s been doing a great job so yea,’ one fan tweeted, while another wrote: ‘If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.’

The Recording Academy confirmed on Monday, January 13 that the ceremony will still air on Sunday, February 2 at LA’s Crypto.com Arena – with the show raising funds to support fire relief efforts.

Beyonce dominates the nominations list with a total of 11 nods, including Album of the Year.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Tammy Hurt, the chair of the Academy’s board of trustees said in a joint statement: ‘Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

‘This city is our home, and we mourn the loss of life and destruction that have come to it in recent days.

‘In close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and responsible use of area resources, the 67th Grammy Awards telecast on CBS on Feb. 2 will proceed as planned.

‘This year’s show, however, will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours. In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else.

‘The Grammys will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles.’
