Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey are arguably two of the biggest and most influential artists of their generation.
Despite competing against each other on the charts and in the same categories at awards shows, the talented twosome have managed to forge a strong bond.
The singer-songwriters have quite the history together, with a long friendship that’s spanned many years, Hollywood parties, and even a musical collaboration.
And now it’s rumored that Taylor Swift may join Lana at Coachella when the Brooklyn Baby singer takes the stage on April 12.
The pair first met over a decade ago at the 2012 MTV EMAs, where Lana took the stage to present the Best Female Artist award.

They had a brief exchange as Lana handed the Style singer her award, but later had a proper hug and quick chat as they posed for photos together in front of the fan section.
The two superstars crossed paths briefly after that, but most notably rubbed shoulders at Lady Gaga’s star-studded 30th birthday bash in 2016.
Proving just how friendly they were getting, Taylor invited the Born to Die hitmaker to her American Music Awards after party in 2018.
The pair looked inseparable at the bash, with Lana even posting a cute selfie of herself cheek-to-cheek with Taylor to her private Instagram account.
One of the biggest connections is their work with producer Jack Antonoff, who has produced multiple albums for both women.
Antonoff opened up about working with the pair in an interview with Zane Lowe in March.
‘Every time we do something new, I joke, “I guess we still got it,” because there’s no reason for it to keep coming the way it does,’ he said.

‘There’s a lot of magic there. I feel that way with Taylor, I feel that way with Lana … It’s almost like, the more we do, the less I expect it,’ he continued.
‘Because I often think to myself, well, how much longer could we really keep having this spark? And I’m just grateful that it’s there, and I don’t know where it comes from or where it goes, but the one thing that I’ve noticed is that anyone who claims to know where it comes from and where it goes burns out pretty quick.’
Having a shared collaborator in Antonoff resulted in Lana and Taylor finally collaborating in 2022 on the Midnights track Snow on the Beach.
‘I am such a fan of Lana Del Rey,’ Taylor gushed while discussing the song.
‘Lana Del Rey is in my opinion one of the best musical artists ever, the fact that I get to exist at the same time as her is an honor and a privilege and the fact that she would be so generous as to collab with us on this song is something I am going to be grateful for for life – absolutely love her.’
Snow on the Beach originally only featured Lana on background vocals, but the demand from fans for the Ultraviolence singer to have a more prominent role was so strong that they went back into the studio to re-record the track.

One of the duo’s most memorable moments was at the Grammy Awards in February.
Not only did they walk the red carpet together, Taylor even dragged Lana up on stage with her when she received Album of the Year for Midnights.
Thanking the songstress in her acceptance speech, she gushed, ‘I think so many female artists would not be where they are and would not have the inspiration they have if it weren’t for the work that she’s done.’
She added, ‘I think she’s a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now. I’m so lucky to know you and to be your friend.’
A few days days after that, Lana attended the Super Bowl with Taylor, who was there to support boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Now Taylor and Travis are reportedly planning to attend Coachella to support her BFF Lana Del Rey.
The songstress, 34, who is currently on a two month break from her The Eras Tour, will be ‘renting a house in the area’ with the NFL star, 34, for one of the two festival weekends on April 12-14 and April 19-21, a source told Us Weekly.
They added: ‘They both want to see Lana Del Rey and [Jack Antonoff’s band] Bleachers.’
A second source claimed Kelce will stay with Swift until late April – with the hunk said to be shooting a commercial in Los Angeles the weekend of April 12.

The pair’s relationship is said to be ‘very serious’ and has them ‘thinking of next steps.’
Adding fuel to the fire, Kelce told People: ‘I am a Coachella guy. I love going to Coachella. I love live music in general. So you might see me pop up over there at some point.
‘I’m not sure if I’ll go to a weekend, one or two, or if I even have time knowing my schedule’s filling up pretty quick before we get started back up for football here.’
Some fans have even speculated that Taylor may join Lana on stage on April 19, although they have yet to confirm it.
