NFL on CBS analyst Boomer Esiason had an eventful train ride when he was confronted by an upset Baltimore Ravens fan after his team lost the AFC Championship game.

While waiting at the Baltimore Amtrak station on Sunday after the Ravens’ 17-10 defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, a Ravens fan confronted Esiason and two other CBS analysts: Nate Burleson and Bill Cowher.

Esiason revealed the details on WFAN’s morning show on Monday, with the former quarterback calling the fan an ‘a**wipe, douchebag’ and suspected that he was drunk.

The fan complained to Esiason and Cowher that the NFL ‘rigged’ the game – with Taylor Swift part of the distraught Ravens’ man’s theory.

Cowher engaged the fan – who got in the face of the Hall-of-Famer and former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach while they were trying to watch the NFC Championship game on Esiason’s iPad.

‘Coach is awesome because he’ll defend the NFL, like “I don’t want to hear crap from some drunk-ass fan who just lost a bet.” He will die with that shield…,’ Esiason said of Cowher.

‘If he gets any closer I may have to get up and f’in smash this guy in the face. I am like pissed off now.

‘I am trying to watch the game and this idiot is screaming about how the NFL is rigged and it’s this, that and the other thing.’

Esiason said that Burleson was away from the group, but once he arrived, the former wide receiver was ‘ready to come out of his suit and rip this guy’s face off… He was right in the middle of all of it.’

Taking measure of the situation, Esiason figured he would be the one to step in if things got physical – considering he had the least to lose while Cowher is enshrined in Canton and Burleson has a role with CBS News.

‘If I did it nobody would have cared. If (Cowher) did it, it would have been all over the place,’ Esiason explained, though WFAN co-host Gregg Giannotti disagreed.

Another Ravens fan stepped in and cooled the tensions before anything turned physical. But Baltimore Police were involved before the situation dissipated.

‘Why is this nimrod coming over to us, screaming about it being rigged and they wanted Taylor Swift in the Super Bowl?’ Esiason said.

CBS has the rights to cover the Super Bowl this year – meaning that Esiason, Cowher, and Burleson will all be in Las Vegas in the coming days.

Unfortunately for the conspiracy theorist, the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing for Super Bowl LVIII glory against the San Francisco 49ers.
