Rhode Island senator Sheldon Whitehouse fueled rumors that Taylor Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce would not be tying the knot there. The 36-year-old bride-to-be happens to own the most expensive private home in the state – the historic eight-bedroom mansion High Watch in Watch Hill – which she paid $17.7 million for in 2013. ‘I don’t know about that,’ the 70-year-old Democratic politician told TMZ on Tuesday. ‘I think that she gave Rhode Island a pass. [But] I hope so, I’d love to have her in Rhode Island.’ Adding even more credence to the rumor was Westerly Police Department Chief Paul Gingerella – whose force handled security at Olivia Culpo’s nuptials – as he told the outlet Tuesday he nor the town have been informed of any Swift wedding. On April 10, an insider told the Daily Mail that the billionaire pop star and the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end will say ‘I do’ in New York on July 3. Wedding guests were reportedly required to RSVP with a signed NDA when the save-the-date invites were sent out for the ceremony rumored to happen inside an arena or museum-like space.
Star-Studded Guest List and Engagement
The celeb-filled guest list is rumored to include Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham and Suki Waterhouse while word has it Swift is not inviting Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss or Miles Teller. Kelce attended his first Eras Tour concert in July 2023 and – by September 24, 2023 – the 14-time Grammy winner was cheering him on at a football game alongside his mother Donna. The three-time Super Bowl champion popped the question to Swift on August 26.

Kelce Premieres Basquiat Doc at Tribeca
Kelce might be attending the world premiere of the new Jean-Michel Basquiat documentary titled Jean-Michel this Friday at Spring Studios during the Tribeca Film Festival since he served as executive producer. The New Heights podcaster – who signed a three-year $54.7 million contract in March – and his team will play the first preseason game against the LA Rams on August 15 before the regular NFL season kicks off September 14.
