Adam Scott shared his reflections on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City last month.
The 53-year-old Severance star recalled attending the July 3 nuptials alongside wife Naomi Scott while appearing on the Today show on Monday, where he revealed what surprised him the most about the extravagant event.
‘You know what, I think the thing we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding,’ he said.
‘You had the sense that these are just people who love each other. It was kind of on a grand scale – there were more people than were at my wedding – but at its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together.’
Scott – who was among a reported 1,000 guests at the ceremony – continued, ‘Everyone teared up. It was a really lovely, lovely event.’
After co-host Craig Melvin asked Scott if he racked up ‘some serious dad points’ with his teenage daughter, Frankie, by getting an invite to the star-studded wedding, Scott said, ‘Sure did, except I didn’t bring her. So I lost some points at the same time.’

Though Scott praised the ‘regular’ wedding, some fans previously roasted Swift for her ‘unhinged’ wedding guest list which included ‘random’ stars like Hugh Grant and Barbara Corcoran.
Swift’s close pals, including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid were on the guest list, as were most of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
However, other random A, B and C-listers were seen en route to the venue, with social media users snarking that it seemed more like a social networking event than a celebration of everlasting love.
‘She literally invited everyone and their mother omg,’ one X user snarked of Swift.

Some were tickled by the ‘random’ list of the attendees.

Norton said the marriage of the pop superstar and NFL star quarterback was ‘lovely’ but incorporated elements he ‘wouldn’t have done’ as he made an appearance on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio UK.
Commenting on the ceremony, he remarked that it was ‘like any wedding’ whether the couple was famous or not.
Norton explained: ‘You saw things, you know, “Oh, that’s a lovely touch,” and then you saw things, like, “Oh, I wouldn’t have done that.”‘
He added: ‘It was a lovely, lovely wedding.’
