Accused killer cop Beau Lamarre-Condon confused Westfield security by turning up to a Jessica Mauboy concert and claiming he was her police guard, sources say.

The former senior constable, 28, allegedly used his police-issued Glock pistol to shoot Channel Ten presenter Jesse Baird, 26, and his boyfriend Luke Davies, 29, in a Paddington rental at about 9.50am on February 19.

He then allegedly shoved their bodies in surfboard bags and dumped them at a remote property in Bungonia, about 180km south of Sydney, before handing himself into police on February 23.

It can now be revealed Lamarre-Condon – a known celebrity chaser who took selfies with the likes of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift – attended Mauboy’s concert at Westfield Bondi Junction at 4pm on February 12.

Sources told Daily Mail that shopping centre security were confused when he turned up and said he was her police guard.

NSW Police could not confirm whether Lamarre-Condon was on duty at Bondi Junction that day, but a police spokesperson said celebrities are normally guarded by private security.

They said officers are normally at concerts for crowd-control purposes, rather than on guard duties.

One week later, he allegedly murdered Mr Baird and Mr Davies.

While it was initially reported Mr Baird was Lamarre-Condon’s ‘ex-boyfriend’, friends of the Studio 10 host later clarified they were never in a relationship.

Before Lamarre-Condon joined NSW Police in 2019, he used to go out several times per week and chase celebrities around Sydney, hoping to ambush them.

He became a celebrity blogger who interviewed Hollywood heavyweights on the Golden Globes red carpet, posting selfies with the likes of Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Russel Crowe, and Miranda Kerr to his blog ThatsTheTea.com.

In 2014, he met Lady Gaga at a concert and came out as gay via a note he threw on stage to her, which she read out, revealing his sexuality to an audience of 15,000.

The note read ‘Gaga, you’re not just my idol but LITERALLY my (saviour)’, and was his way of thanking the singer for giving him the courage to tell his parents he was gay.

He was taken backstage to meet her after the show and later said in a radio interview: ‘She came out for me.’

A close friend of his said the encounter with Lady Gaga ‘was his highest high and it was like a drug for him he continued to chase’.

Police at first described Mr Baird and Lamarre-Condon’s relationship as an ‘on-off’ romance, but friends said it was only ever a ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement.

The arrangement ended when Mr Baird said he didn’t want to pursue a relationship.

Lamarre-Condon allegedly put their bodies in surfboard bags, covered them with a blue tarpaulin, and left them in the rear courtyard of Mr Baird’s Paddington rental.

A female housemate approached and prodded one of two surfboard bags at about 5.40pm that evening, according to police documents.

She told police the contents felt ‘lumpy, not like it had a surfboard inside’ and that she had also noticed red-stained pavers underneath the bags.

The woman assumed the tiles had been stained by beetroot juice spilled by Mr Baird, who was known by his fellow tenants for being ‘messy’.

The housemates took photos of the bags and a blood-stained outdoor lounge, police will allege.

About 12 hours later, Lamarre-Condon allegedly collected the bodies in a white rental van and took them to a remote farm property in Bungonia, about 180km south of Sydney.

It is alleged the senior constable then returned to the site to move the bodies to another location in Bungonia, about 20 minutes’ drive from the original location.

There was an extensive search for the couple but Lamarre-Condon initially would not tell police where their bodies were located.

He then spoke with a lawyer on February 27, more than a week after the alleged murders.

The remains of Mr Baird and Mr Davies were found inside surf bags and buried in a shallow grave that afternoon.

Lamarre-Condon is currently in Silverwater Correctional Complex, in Sydney’s west.

His matter is before the courts.
