Taylor Swift may have taken the world by storm in recent months – but it seems she isn’t the only one cashing in on her current popularity.

Because topping the charts for the most expensive last-minute tickets is, in fact, Adele.

The Hello hitmaker, 35, has one of the most popular Las Vegas residencies of all time and has been demanding hefty prices to boot.

Mobile ticket marketplace Gametime revealed that the average price of a seat at the intimate concert experience was $1,011 – the highest of any other artist in 2023.

The star’s series of shows, titled Weekends With Adele at Colosseum At Caesars Palace, have been selling out in recent weeks.

This is likely helped by the limited capacity at the venue which can only hold 4,100 attendees per show.

The performance includes a 20-track set list, which is the longest of her career, and is said to be peppered with personal anecdotes and jokes from the singer – much to the delight of her audience.

Having enjoyed so much success, Adele signed a bumper new deal to extend her reign at the venue once again, according to The Sun.

It is the second time the show has been extended, dashing fan hopes that a world tour was perhaps in the singer’s near future.

Adele is said to have personally made $2 million per night in the second run of her residency – which ran from June and November of this year – the New York Post reported.

Her performances are now scheduled to run until June 2024.

Following close behind Adele when it comes to most expensive last-minute tickets is Taylor – with the average attendee paying $958.

It was recently announced that the 34-year-old’s Eras Tour is the first tour to cross the $1 billion mark, according to Pollstar’s 2023 year-end charts.

She has been selling out venues such as SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California — that has a capacity of just over 70,000.

Taylor’s landmark Eras Tour was the number one tour both worldwide and in North America, outselling the next two biggest of the year – Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour and Bruce Springsteen – combined.

She also brought in a whopping $1.04 billion (£831.6 million) with 4.35 million tickets sold across 60 tour dates, the concert trade publication found.

Adele and Taylor were streaks ahead of their closest rivals in terms of ticket pricing.

U2 ($502 each), Drake ($473 each) and Usher ($406 each) completed the top five.

And places in the bottom half of the top 10 list were taken up by Bruno Mars ($391 each), Harry Styles ($357.50 each), Morgan Wallen ($329 each), Suga ($309 each) and Garth Brooks ($288 each).
