Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager shared a rather embarrassing confession on Monday’s Today when they both admitted that they weren’t sure how long a ‘fortnight’ is.
The TV duo were discussing the track ‘Fortnight’ from Taylor Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, when mother-of-three Jenna revealed that she thought a ‘fortnight’ was ‘four nights’.
‘Fans are speculating that this song, as well as several others, are not about Joe Alwyn – who was her longtime love – but really about her relationship, which was quite brief, with singer/songwriter Matty Healy,’ Jenna, 42, explained.
‘Yeah, the two dated for a month,’ Hoda, 59, replied as Jenna continued: ‘Yeah because a Fortnight… I have to tell you, I wasn’t caught up on my old English so I didn’t know that a fortnight was two weeks!’

Hoda Kotb also seemed unsure about the length of a fortnight and asked if it was ’10 days or two weeks’

Hoda then turned to members of the Today crew and asked: ‘What is it? 10 days or two weeks?’ as Jenna blurted out: ‘Two weeks! I didn’t know, I thought it was four nights!’
Moving swiftly on, the ladies decided to discuss Taylor’s 2023 romance with Matty, 35, and shared their thoughts on ‘brief relationships’ that end up having a big impact on you.
Hoda said: ‘This is interesting, though. Because sometimes a brief relationship… because you don’t know the potential or what it could have been, or all the things ends up… I’ve heard people talking about that short, brief relationship is the love of their life.
‘I asked one guy who I met at one point, “do you ever think about the love of your life?”… I met her once and it was brief and it was here and it was there there”, and he’s describing what is like a two-day dating, beautiful whatever…
‘But because he never had a chance to see the shadows, to learn what’s a bad day like, to learn all of those other things that make a relationship… but your fantasy can make it the love of your life,’ Hoda continued as Jenna blurted out: ‘Totally!’
‘Any relationship that is never fully realized, too, you’re always thinking like oh wait could that have been – and I already have the one – but could that have been a one? Could we have gone further?’ Jenna commented, referring to her husband Henry Hager.
Hoda then added: ‘Yes and sometimes you do wonder, because it didn’t play out, so maybe that was… “could that have been the love of my life?” And that’s why I get the heartache and heartbreak, because people are like, “you only went out with him for a few weeks”, but it felt like it could have been and then you spend your whole life dreaming…’
Jenna then asked: ‘Do you have a person like that?’ as Hoda hesitated before replying: ‘Yeah,’ and turning it on Jenna and saying: ‘You do!’ as she responded: ‘Yeah, I do!’ as they both giggled.

‘By the way, I think if everybody’s honest, everybody kind of has one,’ Jenna claimed.
‘Whether it’s the person that sat close to you in school and you remember the way they looked at you, and you’re like, “we maybe should have dated”, or the boy that dumped you…’
Their comments come after Jenna seemingly confirmed that Hoda is currently single – despite the mother-of-two revealing last month that she was going on a third date with the same mystery man.
Hoda split from her former fiancé, financier Joel Schiffman, in January and recently told DailyMail.com that she doesn’t use dating apps because she wants to avoid ‘weirdos’.
