Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd has revealed his Rhode Island home was broken into recently – before speculating that Taylor Swift could have been the intended target.

In a video posted to TikTok, Cowherd revealed how he and his wife returned home from a night out to find a vehicle on their driveway.

After speaking to a woman inside the vehicle, Cowherd discovered that her boyfriend was already inside the property and immediately called the police.

He then went on to claim they may have wanted to break into Swift’s home, which is supposedly ’10 doors down’, according to Cowherd.

The popstar, who is currently on her Eras Tour on the other side of the world, bought a 11,000-square-foot Watch Hill, Rhode Island, mansion for $17.75million back in 2013.

Cowherd has been married to wife Ann since 2010, and bought their eight bedroom, six bathroom ‘palatial’ home in the area for $8.5m in August 2023, according to Boston.com.

Detailing his ordeal, Cowherd said: ‘Friday night, it’s 9:30pm, we go out and then we come home and we pull into the driveway, my wife and I, and there is a car parked in my driveway.

‘So I pull in behind the car and I walk up to it with my phone.

‘I asked this young girl, she rolls her window down and her dog starts barking, I said, “Can I ask why you’re here?” and she pauses, “Well I was just wondering if your house is for sale?” and I’m like, “Oh I’m getting robbed.”

‘Her boyfriend’s in the house. So I call 911 and give them the address.

‘Well, the Westerly, Rhode Island police, fantastic. They came flying down the street. Taylor Swift lives 10 houses away. Does she think this is Taylor Swift’s house?

‘I guess my point is, when we discovered that Taylor Swift was 10 houses away, I was kinda like, “well that doesn’t hurt property value”.

‘There’s been stories about of multiple people being around the property. I mean Taylor Swift is the biggest star in the world, the biggest star. Beautiful, talented.

‘It really did make me think, “Oh my God,” because this young lady had no idea who I was. I mean, she doesn’t care. But I got my wife in the car. I got to protect my wife.’

It comes just weeks after Cowherd defended broadcast networks for showing Swift on TV during NFL games as she watched boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play.

Swift played a number of shows in last week and will continue her tour in Singapore

In a rant, Cowherd blasted those critics saying their complaints were overblown and that their vitriol toward Swift may be rooted in sexism.

‘There’s a lot of really weird, lonely, insecure men out there,’ Cowherd began.

‘The fact that a pop star, the world’s biggest pop star, is dating a star tight end who had one of his greatest games ever [in the AFC Championship game], and a network puts them on the air briefly, that it bothers you. What does that say about your life?

‘Judge people sometimes on the silly stuff that bothers them. It’ll tell you a lot about them. When I hear this whole thing about Taylor Swift, [people say] “I just want to watch football.” Liar. You’re lying. That’s not true.

‘A football telecast is not just football. In fact, the commercials for 4 hours before the Super Bowl will be widely watched. Did you know, statistically, in a three and a half hour NFL playoff broadcast or regular season broadcast, just 18 minutes are actual football.

‘And we have the data, we have the numbers. You don’t turn away. There’s coaches cutaways. They show fans in Buffalo on fire. Commercials, reviews, 18 minutes of real football for the record, about the length of five Taylor Swift songs.

‘Listen to this. The New York Times measured how long she was actually on the broadcast. Do you know how long it is? On average? 25 seconds. In three and a half hours. Against the Ravens, it was up to a whopping 32 seconds. It was 14 [for] Chiefs and Raiders on Christmas. Twelve [for] Chiefs and Bengals, 24 seconds [for] Buffalo-Kansas City.

‘She was on for a minute against the Dolphins. But it was an absolutely awful broadcast. They should have had a concert in the middle of it. That would have been more interesting. And why wouldn’t CBS, which, you know, has the Grammys, cross promote the world’s biggest pop star?’
