It comes after Sir Elton recently praised the decision to rename a road after his iconic 1973 album as he visited it for the first time since the change

Back in November, Leicester, the current Championship leaders, won 2-0 against Watford after striker Jamie Vardy came off the bench to give his side the lead.

Vardy later scored a second goal from the penalty spot after being taken out by Hornets goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann – the Austrian being awarded a red card as a result.

Sir Elton recently praised the decision to rename a road after his iconic 1973 album as he visited it for the first time since the change.

The street runs along the side of Watford Football Club’s stadium, Vicarage Road, and was originally called Occupation Road.

However, a group of fans, The 1881 Movement, petitioned the council to rename the road in homage to Sir Elton and it was finally made official last month.

The street has been changed to Yellow Brick Road, as a nod to Sir Elton’s iconic album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and his recent Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour

New yellow signs have been put up to mark the official name change, with the singer proudly visiting this week.
