When Travis Kelce gets back into his Kansas City Chiefs gear for the 2026 NFL season, look out for a wedding ring.
For sources have exclusively confirmed to the Daily Mail that the tight end and his superstar fiancée, Taylor Swift, both 36, will tie the knot this summer before the new football season kicks off.
The plans are said to be so tightly under wraps that even guests are currently unaware of the exact date and location.
‘Everybody [loved ones, close friends] has been told to put the summer on hold and they will find out the details right before the wedding,’ one insider told us.
A second source confirmed the nuptials will definitely take place prior to football season and that Kelce will be able to attend his full training camp schedule.
The Chiefs’ first practice is currently scheduled for July 22.

Kelce, 36, announced earlier this year that he would be playing another season with the Kansas City Chiefs despite contemplating retirement plans
Fans had recently speculated whether the highly-anticipated wedding, which has long been rumored to be taking place at Swift’s $17 million Rhode Island mansion on the weekend of June 13, would be delayed, given Kelce’s somewhat unexpected signing of a new contract to return to the league.
Following a disastrous season that ended with the Chiefs failing to make it to the playoffs or the Super Bowl for the first time in four years, Kelce had a big decision to make.
‘You always need to take a step back, breathe, let the emotions of the season settle down and see where the body is and things like that,’ he said on The Pat McAfee Show of his decision to not retire just yet in March.
‘But man, I’m still in love with this game. I still love going to work, putting on the pads, grinding it out and playing the game.’
He has since signed a reported $12 million deal.
A second insider insists that while Kelce was contemplating retirement, Swift never pressured him or brought up marriage and family life as a reason for him to step back from football.
We are told wedding planning and the retirement consideration have always been two separate conversations, with one insider stating of the nuptials: ‘It had nothing to do with his decision.’
Sources said preparations are very much underway, and that Swift has already made specific demands about what she wants her big day to look like.
‘It will take place someplace indoors,’ our first insider shared.
Insiders have told the Daily Mail that Swift, 36, is prioritizing her privacy on her big day and that this factored into the choice of venue
A source claimed that Swift wants her wedding to be ‘indoors’ not like her best pal Selena Gomez’s, which was held inside of white tents outdoors (pictured)

Taylor Swift sleuths expose her relentless 'scheming': She and Travis desperate to contain fallout

‘Taylor doesn’t want it to be like Selena’s wedding,’ the insider continued, referring to the recent nuptials of the pop star’s best friend Selena Gomez – who wed Benny Blanco in white marquees outdoors at the Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, last October.
It is understood the worry is that privacy couldn’t be properly ensured at an outdoor venue.
To Gomez’s credit, however, the first photos of her on her big day were not released until she shared them on Instagram, though some of her celebrity guests were snapped arriving at the scenic clifftop venue.
Still, we’re told Swift wants to be as discreet as possible.
The ‘whole thing will be recorded’ so that the newlyweds can look back on their big day, according to our first source, who suggested Swift may wish to share some moments with fans.
Both insiders also confirmed that the reception will be ‘big,’ as Swift herself revealed on The Graham Norton Show last October while promoting her latest album The Life of a Showgirl.
Sitting on Norton’s famous red sofa, Swift described the wedding as ‘huge’ and said she was ‘so excited about it’ because ‘the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount’.
She said having fewer guests often means you ‘have to evaluate or assess your relationship’ with friends.
‘I’m not gonna do that,’ she added, before joking: ‘Anyone I’ve ever talked to [is getting an invitation].’

One person Swift has had to evaluate is her once BFF Blake Lively, who, according to our source is unlikely to receive an invite
Aside from the couple’s respective families, Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany Mahomes are expected to attend, as well as Gomez and Blanco.
But it will surprise no one that Swift’s BFF-turned-enemy Blake Lively is unlikely to receive an invite, our sources said.
We’re also told that while Swift has seemingly put the months of drama with the It Ends With Us actress behind her – after being dragged into the latter’s legal saga with Justin Baldoni – Swift and Lively, 38, are still not as close as they once were.
As part of Lively’s ongoing court battle, the former girl pals’ private text messages were made public, including one in which Swift referred to Baldoni as a ‘b***h.’
Kelce, for his part, drew a line in the sand last year when he unfollowed Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram, with sources claiming at the time that the social media ‘diss’ was deliberate and related to the legal saga.
As their wedding day nears, Swift and Kelce appear to be spending as much quality together time as possible before they become husband and wife.
Over the weekend, they were reportedly spotted sneaking into exclusive Oscars afterparties in Los Angeles together.
Kelce popped the question to Swift last summer after two years together in an intimate and romantic proposal held in the backyard of his Kansas mansion.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Swift wrote: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Swift, Kelce and Lively for comment.
