Blake Lively gushed about husband Ryan Reynolds in a new interview promoting her haircare label Blake Brown Beauty.
The 38-year-old actress – whose trial against Justin Baldoni has been pushed to May – called Reynolds, 49, her ‘best friend’ while chatting with WWD’s Jenny B. Fine.
Asked if she ‘talks shop’ with the actor regarding her business, Lively answered, ‘We talk shop all the time. We really are partners in everything just because we’re best friends.’
Her comments come following her rumored rift with BFF Taylor Swift, 36.
Lively and Reynolds tied the knot in 2012 and share daughters James, 11, Inez, nine, Betty, six, and son Olin, two.
‘We talk shop about, like, if I make the coffee I’m like, “What did you like about that? What were the details?” We’re very curious people,’ she explained of her relationship with her husband.

The entrepreneur continued, ‘We become sort of possessed by something that we’re building or creating, something that inspires us.
‘And that could be something very mundane or it can be our work. Our family is something we are eternally trying to figure out how to do better.’
‘We’re just buddies. We’re partners,’ she added. ‘Just watching him do what he’s done and how he lives and how he operates.

‘And also he’s been my male tester for all of my fragrances, my formulas, my everything. He’s always stealing them from me.
‘So down to literally being my test strands of hair, to being somebody who I rely on for every facet of the business and my life. Nothing I do is without him.’
Elsewhere in WWD’S The Beauty of Tomorrow podcast, Lively said the influence of her loved ones is reflected throughout her work.
‘My family is all over everything I do, across any of my brands or any film I’m in. Everything I do, I can see them all over it,’ she emphasized.
‘People don’t see it because I don’t share my family as much, but I see the imprint of my family – from my husband to my children to my mom and my sisters, my brothers – all over my work.’
The last time Lively and Swift were pictured together was in October 2024.
In December 2024 Lively named It Ends With Us co-star and director Baldoni in a lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliatory conduct, and intentional infliction of emotional stress.
The legal battle subsequently affected her friendship with the pop star.

Baldoni’s team subpoenaed Lively for text messages, emails and any other messages between her and the singer.
His lawyers were then allowed to pore through the text trail, with all communications related to It Ends With Us set for scrutiny.
In one text exchange, Lively appeared to refer to herself as the Game of Thrones character Khaleesi, and to Swift as one of her ‘dragons.’
Elsewhere in Baldoni’s filing is the claim that Swift was present at a meeting convened by Lively at her New York penthouse to discuss It Ends With Us script changes.
Sources close to Swift insisted the singer had no knowledge of the meeting and simply arrived to find it underway.
The situation reportedly left the songstress — who is godmother to Lively’s three daughters — feeling ‘exploited.’
