A fan of the hitmaker had been looking back at the Saturday Night Live line-up for 2023 when they noticed that NFL superstar Travis made his hosting debut just one week before Matty’s band, The 1975, appeared as a musical guest.
‘Could you imagine if that schedule was just a tad bit different?’ the user wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
After initial confusion that the line up was for the coming weeks, the fan clarified: ‘This was two years ago y’all. It would’ve meant absolutely nothing at the time.
‘I just thought it was wild how it was a week apart. Open the chronically online schools omfg.’
Many fans agreed that the close call was entertaining to look back at now Taylor’s fling with Matty has burned out and she since gone on to find a headline-making love with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

According to SNL star Ben Marshall, Taylor got in touch with him after the show aired to share her thoughts about Travis and his skit with Ben’s comedy group.
‘She kinda told us that she watched his SNL episode and saw him in our video and was like, “Oh, this guy seems funny,”‘ he recalled on an episode of Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out podcast.
‘So, like, a little bit [we] brought them together,’ he added.
The Kansas City Chiefs star has now dating pop sensation for just over 18 months but many already expect the A-List couple to be one of the first to take their relationship to the next level in coming months.

There has been no announcement from the couple regarding an engagement.
However, Travis revealed this month on he and his brother Jason’s ‘New Heights’ podcast when Taylor should not expect to get married.
During the episode, the brothers were asked for their thoughts on a fan’s desire not to have his wedding at the height of football season.
‘I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,’ Travis told brother Jason.

‘So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season.’
