In the first clip labeled as being from 2005, Swift appeared as a very self-assured teen speaking about her career trajectory in a soft Southern accent that was perhaps influenced by her family’s move from West Reading, PA to the Nashville area two years before.
In the following years, the Love Story singer’s accent seemed to get a bit stronger as her hair grew curlier, but around 2009 and 2010, when she began speaking with more of a standard American accent.
The hitmaker’s interest in trying her hand at acting may have influenced the way she spoke.
In 2013 Swift made her acting debut in an episode of the sitcom New Girl, followed by a role in 2014’s The Giver.
In a clip marked as being from 2020 shortly after revealing she would be re-recording her first five albums, Style singer spoke about hearing her ‘teen-aged voice’ in some of her older music.
