Jason Kelce surprised residents on Venice Beach on Friday after he took to the streets to interview random guests during a segment for his upcoming late night talk show.
The retired NFL star, 37, was seen filming outtakes in the LA neighborhood ahead of his new ESPN show, ‘They Call it Late Night with Jason Kelce’, set to premiere in January.

Kelce, who already co-hosts a sports podcast with his famous brother Travis, showed off his comedic side by presenting interview subjects with funny questions or challenges.
Some were asked to sing, hum or play an instrument of their favorite song.
Videos of the shoot show Kelce wearing an Eagles poncho and yellow visor, making his way up and down the Venice Beach with a camera crew in tow, approaching subjects.

During one interview he was heard introducing himself to one person saying, ‘I’m Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s brother.’
Another clip of the athlete-turned-talk show host showed him singing the ‘Fly, Eagles Fly’ fight song with a fan.
However, some of his interview subjects, such as a tourist couple visiting from Japan, seemed completely oblivious to the fact that they were being quizzed by the famous athlete.
But overall it was clear Kelce was an entertaining and amusing host, making his guests laugh with his silly antics on camera.
Kelce announced his new hosting gig the previous night during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday.
Describing it as a ‘celebration’ featuring sports legends, friends, and celebrities, Kelce revealed the hour-long show will air on ESPN at 1am.

The series will tape on five consecutive Friday nights beginning on January 3 in front of a live studio audience in Philadelphia.
Speaking about his appearance the previous night while filming on Friday he said: ‘The best advice Jimmy Kimmel gave me when I was walking off his show last night is I told him I missed showering with the guys after a game and he told me I should do a shower segment on the show.’
‘I just like talking to regular people,’ added the former football star.
When asked if he’d have a sidekick on the show he said: ‘I’m thinking of Dan Campbell’s brother.’
The man-on-the-street segment also seemed to generate positive reactions from fans in Venice Beach.
‘Jason is a funny guy. He was walking towards the public showers on the beach while looking into the camera saying that he was going to take a shower,’ one witness told DailyMail.com.

The experience was particularly exciting for Stacey Weltman, who was visiting from Canada and had just attended a Taylor Swift concert in Toronto just days prior.
‘I can’t believe I was just interviewed by Jason Kelce,’ she told DailyMail.com.
‘At first I didn’t want to come here because I wanted to see another Taylor Swift concert this weekend, and then this happens.
‘I take it as a sign that I was meant to be here. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and a big fan of Jason’s wife too. Travis was really really nice.’
