He might have set the internet ablaze with his ‘giant’ stature but, in reality, Gary Barlow’s son Daniel is only a few inches taller than the average man.
The 24-year-old went unexpectedly viral after social media users seized on a sweet family photo of him towering over his 5ft 7in Take That star father.
Gary, 53, barely reaches his son’s shoulder in the wholesome snap, originally posted to mark Father’s Day in June 2023.
Memes have since flooded the internet with jokes about Daniel’s frame.

Google search results labelled Vance as 5ft 7in, which appeared to be a underestimation of his stature, based on his record in the Senate with his colleagues.
To set the record straight, a campaign official sent a photo of Vance standing next to Trump, himself listed as 6ft 3in by his White House physician.
It is not the first time that online search results have been wrong about the height of a significant political figure.
Democrat candidate Kamala Harris griped in a recent interview with Katie Couric that Wikipedia listed her height as 5ft 2in. 'That is absolutely incorrect. I am 5ft 4in and a quarter,' Harris said afterwards.
Memes posted in relation to Daniel's towering presence compared the picture to a scene in the Christmas movie Elf, where human-sized Buddy struggles to fit in at the North Pole because everything is too tiny for him.

References were also made to how Trump's son Barron, who is 18, also towers over him at an impressive height of 6ft 7in.
Gary shares Daniel, 24, Emily, 22 and Daisy, 15, with his wife of 25 years Dawn Andrews, a backup dancer who was on tour with Take That in 1995 and who he married in 2000.
Barlow has previously spoke about how his children are so different to him and have shown no interest in showbiz, opting instead for academic careers. Daniel is pursuing a career in medicine.
He said: 'The two oldest have kind of gone into medicine and physiology, studying strength and conditioning, and my youngest one, Daisy, I'm not too sure what she's heading for but again, she's very studious… unlike me and my wife.
'I don't think they will follow in my music footsteps but I wouldn't have discouraged them though if they did want to, it's been a good business for me.
'Every day I still enjoy what I do and when you realise you're making a living from it, it's a great, great place to be. Many roles in "showbiz" are just wonderful, there's definitely a much harder world out there than the one I'm in I think'.
