Both Clark and Swift this week were named by TIME magazine in the list of ‘Inspiring Women’ in the publication’s special edition with the pair both pictured on the front cover.

It is not the first Eras show Clark has been to – she also saw Swift play in Minneapolis in June 2023.

Clark’s fandom of Swift has been well known and the basketball star also liked Swift’s post in October endorsing Kamala Harris for the election, which is next week.

She denied that her ‘like’ was also an endorsement, however, saying: ‘I have this amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing would be to just encourage people to register to vote.

‘That’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have and that’s the same thing Taylor (Swift) did.

‘Continue to educate yourself on the candidates that we have, the policies that they’re supporting – I think that’s the biggest thing you can do. And that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has the opportunity in our country.’

That said, her boyfriend McCaffrey has posted several times on Instagram in support of Harris.

Furthermore, as well as being a Swiftie, Clark is also a Kansas City Chiefs fan – the team Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce plays for.

Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in September 2023 when the singer joined Kelce’s mom in a box to watch Chiefs vs Chicago Bears.

That same day, Clark tweeted: ‘Taylor Swift welcome to the good side #chiefskingdom’.

Friday was also a significant day for Clark’s WNBA career as her Indiana Fever side announced that Stephanie White had become the team’s new head coach.

Clark shared the announcement on her social media and commented under Fever’s post: ‘Fevvv showwwww.’

The 22-year-old Clark has driven interest in the WNBA to new levels in her rookie season after being the first pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Indiana Fever sold out several NBA arenas as fans flocked to see her in action as her team made the playoffs before losing to Connecticut Sun.

Clark’s rivalry with Angel Reese, who was drafted seventh by Chicago Sky, was also a major talking point as the duo’s clashes carried over from their college years.

As for Swift, this weekend is her final run of Eras Tour shows in the United States.

After these three Indianapolis shows, she has a run of dates in Canada that take her into early December and then one of music’s most iconic tours is set to come to an end.
