Keleigh shared a screenshot of herself listening to the song So Long, London, which is seemingly about Joe, on her Instagram Stories, and captioned it with a peace sign.

Since his split from Taylor, which has now taken center stage thanks to her extremely honest new album, Matty has moved on with TikTok chef Gabbriette Bechtel.

Joe likely won’t be drawn into a war of words with Taylor Swift despite her savage new album suggesting he cheated, shattering her dream of marriage and children with him.

In fact the British star, 33, has adopted the mantra of the country’s late matriarch Queen Elizabeth II – to never complain and never explain – having spent six years refusing to discuss his relationship with the world’s most famous woman.

While it’s too early for any concrete numbers, Chris Cooke, a music business expert, told Newsweek that artists usually make ‘at least a few thousand dollars for each million streams’ of a song.

In comparison, her last LP Midnights was streamed nearly five billion times on Spotify in 2023.

And considering The Tortured Poets Department has a ton more songs than Midnights had, it’s likely that the numbers will be even bigger. Only time will tell…

Taylor’s music has returned to TikTok despite every other artist under her label, Universal Music Group’s songs still being blocked from the app.

She has made a deal with the video streaming platform that allows fans to ‘engage in challenges to unlock exclusive artwork for their profiles,’ per Variety.

A source told Us Weekly that the 1975 frontman is ‘relived’ over Taylor’s new album, despite many believing that it included a lot of shady lyrics about him.

‘Matty still thinks very highly of Taylor but we were all nervous about what she might have said on the album,’ someone close to him told the publication.

They said he and his loved ones ‘couldn’t be happier’ with the result.

Amid her new album release, Taylor took to X to share a note to fans – and she insisted that the ‘sensational and sorrowful’ era that inspired the Tortured Poets Department is now ‘over.’

‘The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure,’ she wrote.

‘This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed.

‘And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted.’

Taylor refers to herself as an albatross in the bonus song – the bird with the broadest wingspan in the world – throughout The Tortured Poets Department’s bonus track.

Albatross is defined in the Dictionary as: ‘A continuing problem that makes it difficult or impossible to do or achieve something.

‘Fame has become an albatross that prevents her from leading a normal and happy life.’

This metaphor is put down to The Rime of the Ancient Mariner – a 1798 poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

In the narrative poem, a sailor tells a tale of the time he killed an albatross that had brought good fortune to his vessel and its crew.

After he shot it with a crossbow, his crew begin to die one at a time until the mariner is left on his own.

Realizing what he has done he is overcome by an immense feeling of guilt for interfering with nature. As recompense, he wears the bird’s carcass around his neck.

Some people online are slamming Taylor’s new song ​​imgonnagetyouback thanks to its similarities to Olivia Rodrigo’s track Get Him Back!

Social media users were quick to point out that in both songs, the ladies sings about a similar concept – not being able to decide if they want to get back together with a man or get revenge on him.

Olivia previously added writing credits to Taylor on her song Deja Vu after many noticed that it had similar chords to Taylor’s song Cruel Summer.

Swifties all across the globe went all out for the release of Taylor’s latest album, throwing listening parties with elaborate themed decorations and treats.

Aaron, who co-wrote 15 of the 31 tracks on The Tortured Poets Department, posted a snap of Taylor in the studio making the album to commemorate the release.

He gushed in the caption, ‘We started working on these songs over two years ago and it feels like they have kept us company and evolved in beautiful and unexpected ways through so much life lived during this process.’

With a discography spanning 11 albums and a string of 14 famous boyfriends, the songstress has made sure all her relationships are heavily featured.

So who has been subject to Taylor’s lyrics on which albums and when? Take a look…

Ever since Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn split, many have wondered what lead to the breakup – and if he was unfaithful to her.

Now, some think the lyrics on The Tortured Poets Department prove that the actor did cheat on the singer.

On the song The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, she sings, ‘And you’ll confess why you did it… And I’ll say good riddance / ‘Cause it wasn’t sexy once it wasn’t forbidden.’

She also jibes: ‘In plain sight you hid but you are what you did / And I’ll forget you, but I’ll never forgive the smallest man who ever lived.’

However, others believe that song is actually about Matty Healy, so the question still remains…

Fans think Taylor subtly called out Travis Kelce’s Chiefs teammate Kadarius Toney on the song The Alchemy.

In the song, she says, ‘When I touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team.’

Many people on the web believe she’s talking about wide receiver Kadarius in the line – especially because he messed up a touchdown during a game back in December that Taylor was at.

Not only was Taylor brutally honest about her past romances on her album, but she was also extremely open about her mental health struggles.

She sings about ‘feeling suicidal’ and being a ‘functional alcoholic’ throughout the 31 tracks.

In the title track, The Tortured Poets Department, the Cruel Summer songstress opens up about an intense romance.

And she admits that the man said he would ‘kill herself’ if she ever left – and that she feels the same about him.

‘You told Lucy you’d kill yourself if I ever leave / But I had said that to Jack about you, so I felt seen,’ she sang.

In addition, in her track Fortnight with Post Malone, she admits, ‘I was s’posed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me / I was a functioning alcoholic / ‘Til nobody noticed my new aesthetic.’

While DailyMail.com previously reported that many were convinced Taylor’s new song thanK you aIMee was about her drama with Kim Kardashian, many now believe there’s a second diss track about the reality star on the LP.

Some fans think her song Cassandra is also about Kim, thanks to the many references to snakes throughout the lyrics.

Kim famously called Taylor a snake during their feud in 2016.

‘They filled my cell with snakes / I regret to say / Do you believe me now?’ the lyrics of the chorus read.

Taylor also sings about ‘getting a call,’ which could be a reference to the now infamous phone call between her and Kanye West in which they discussed his track Famous – the center of their long-lasting fight.

‘When the first stone’s thrown, they’re screaming In the streets / There’s a raging riot / When it’s “Burn the b***h,” they’re shrieking / When the truth comes out, it’s quiet,’ the song continues.

As fans know, Kim posted a snippet of the phone call on her Snapchat that made it seem like Taylor had lied about not giving her approval of Kanye’s song.

But when the full recording of the call came out years later, it was proven that Kim had edited it.

The internet is extremely excited over the track The Alchemy – thanks to its many references to Taylor’s new beau Travis.

Throughout the lyrics, she references the Chiefs and ‘touchdowns.’

Soon after the album release, X, formerly Twitter, erupted with fans’ reactions to the song.

Taylor and Post teamed up for the first track of The Tortured Poets Department, Fortnight.

The pair first met backstage at the Billboard Music Awards in 2018, following Post’s breakthrough album Beerbongs & Bentleys – and their admiration for one another was immediately apparent.

The Better Now singer recounted the moment in an October 2023 interview on The Howard Stern Show.

He said: ‘We were just passing by and she was like, “Oh my god! Nice to see you. Better Now is f***ing amazing.”

Clara Bow was a silent movie actress who began working in Hollywood in the Roaring Twenties, and as one of the most prolific ‘flapper girls’ of the time, she was known for her lifestyle of debauchery, alcoholism and wild partying.

She went on to become the most famous woman of her generation thanks to her stellar acting talent and dramatic personal life – not dissimilar to Taylor, whose critics accuse the star of leveraging her prolific love life for personal gain.

Lyrics from the first verse of Clara Bow read: ‘You look like Clara Bow in this light, remarkable. All your life, did you know you’d be picked like a rose?’

Amid the release of Taylor’s new album The Tortured Poets Department, it was also reported this morning that the popstar will not be attending this year’s Met Gala – and nor will her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Despite both the singer and her NFL star boyfriend receiving invitations, TMZ has claimed that the pair have RSVP’d ‘no’ to the star-studded event on May 6.

But while she has made her mark on the Met Gala red carpet in the past, this year Taylor is understood not to be able to attend for a very good reason: the event falls at the start of the same week that she is due to kick off the next leg of her Eras Tour.

He died at the Chelsea Hotel in New York aged 39 in 1953. The hotel is also referenced in the song.

Welsh fans were left ecstatic at Taylor’s reference to their country – and many will be hoping she sings the song at her Cardiff shows on the upcoming Europe leg of the Eras tour.

In 2014, Taylor famously removed her entire catalogue from Spotify amid issues over how much artists are paid.

And issues have arisen again but for an entirely different reason, as her fans seem to have caused several outages as they rushed to listen to the album.

Swifties believe that this is a reference to Lucy Dacus from Boygenius, and Taylor’s producer and close friend, Jack Antonoff.

Lucy and Matty Healy apparently used to be friends – but publicly fell out on Twitter last year after Healy made an ableist joke. Dacus wrote on the social networking platform: ‘You don’t hear from me at all.’

The reviews of The Tortured Poets Department are flooding in, with critics calling it ‘gloriously chaotic’.

The Telegraph’s Neil McCormick focused on Taylor’s savage swipes at her British exes, awarding it four stars.

Meanwhile Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield described it as her ‘most personal album yet’.

Many people expected The Tortured Poets would focus on Taylor’s six-year relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn.

In her track The Alchemy, Taylor drops multiple references to her boyfriend and football.

So, My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys and Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? are the only two songs solely written by Taylor, but she will have had a major part to play in all of them.

Fortnight (ft. Post Malone) also credits Austin Post with writer credits – which is Post Malone’s real name.

The song happens to be about a school bully.

Sharing the double album was called The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, she wrote: ‘It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. ✌️

‘I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.’
