Travis Kelce’s influence is reaching new levels as barbers revealed a surge of clients asking for tight end’s haircut.
While Kelce is a star in his own regard as one of the best players in the NFL, his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift has led to his off-field stardom exploding. Additionally, Kelce’s flashy fashion choices and style also started gaining notice since dating Swift.
With the hype around their relationship reaching fever pitch, the already popular buzzcut is now being referred to by some as the ‘Travis Kelce’. Local barbers told the New York Post that they have been shown pictures of the Chiefs star’s haircut as ‘inspiration’ on several occasions.
‘If Taylor Swift is your girlfriend, maybe people think they’ll get a new girlfriend with a sweet haircut,’ said Mitch Wood of Venturemen in Kansas City.
‘Even if people don’t want the buzz cut on top, they’ll show you a picture of his fade,’ Wood added while applauding Kelce’s barber, Patrick Regan.

The reach may soon expand out of Kansas City as New York City barbers expect a spike in the classic haircut with the Super Bowl quickly approaching.
‘Without a doubt, that haircut is super popular,’ Thomas Napolitano, a barber at NYC-based Frank’s Chop Shop shared, per the New York Post. ‘It kind of always has been.’
‘There’s a great chance that people have this particular guy in mind,’ Napolitano revealed.
Astor Place barber Steve Hammond chimed in on Kelce breathing new life into an already popular cut. Hammond suggested that ‘if Kelce wins the Super Bowl now for the third time’ on top of their power couple status, then his namesake hair may be nationally renowned.
Kelce and the Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers in an attempt to win their second consecutive Super Bowl. The two teams will meet in Las Vegas on February 11 for the highly coveted Lombardi trophy.
