Conservatives are increasingly worried that Taylor Swift will endorse Joe Biden’s reelection and doom any changes of Republicans winning in 2024.

The world’s biggest pop star came up a few times at Turning Point Action’s Restoring National Confidence Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada this week, including during founder and CEO Charlie Kirk’s Q&A session.

Speculation is swirling that Swift will use her widespread influence, especially over young women, to mobilize voters for Biden’s 2024 bid. And conservatives say they need to be prepared for the ‘tsunami’ that will cause.

Vice Chair of Moms for Liberty in Clark County Lorena Biassotti asked Kirk on Monday evening if leaning into conservative and Christian icons would help the Republican efforts. She specifically mentioned 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who has opened up about his faith.

‘That’s a good idea. Brock is great, love Brock,’ Kirk replied, but admitted: ‘He’s not in the same ecosystem as the power of Taylor Swift, we’ve got to be honest about that.’

‘I am a big Brock Purdy fan but we’re all fooling ourselves if we think – I mean, you can combine every NFL player and they don’t have the same cultural clout as Taylor Swift,’ he added when speaking at his conference competing with the RNC’s Winter Meeting also in Vegas this week.

Purdy’s team is heading to the Super Bowl this year, but so is Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

A Gen Z member of the RNC also asked Kirk if the party can lean more into influencers to spread the conservative message, which the Turning Point USA CEO said is a good idea.

Meanwhile, Senior Editor for Human Events Jack Posobiec said during his remarks at the conference on Tuesday morning that the concerns over Swift aren’t based on her as a person – but the ‘machine’ that surrounds her.

‘I don’t care whose she’s dating, can’t even keep track of whose she’s dating,’ Posobiec said in taking a tired swipe at Swift’s dating history.

‘With Taylor Swift it’s very clear. It’s not about Taylor Swift. People are like, ‘Why do you hate Taylor Swift so much.’ I don’t care. It’s about the machine that’s around her,’ Posobiece insisted. ‘The machine that’s around her that is going to be used to turn out low propensity voters. That’s the play.’

One attendee at the conference suggested Republican embrace 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who is also going to the Super Bowl this year. But Kirk admitted: 'Brock is great, love Brock. He's not in the same ecosystem as the power of Taylor Swift, we've got to be honest about that'

Posobiec said that Democrats have been ‘insidious’ about how they run elections and warned against how they will play out 2024 by claiming they’re using Swift as an ‘op.’

‘If Taylor Swift ends up endorsing Joe Biden that will be a tsunami that will be very, very difficult to thwart,’ Kirk said during his Monday remarks. ‘And we’ve been warning about that.’

‘Taylor Swift is, without a doubt, the most powerful cultural phenomenon of this generation. It’s not even close,’ she admitted. ‘And we better be prepared because it seems as if things are aligning for that, if she so chooses.’

‘She did endorse Biden passively with an Instagram post. But if that happens, that could be an October surprise.’
