When Taylor Swift rolled up to Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ playoff matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday, her custom Travis Kelce jacket grabbed plenty of fans’ attention.
The virality of the piece being worn by the 12-time Grammy winner was to the delight of 29-year-old, San Francisco-based designer Kristin Juszczyk. Kristin is married to San Francisco 49ers All-Pro fullback Kyle Juszczyk.
Swift’s eye-catching jacket featured Kelce’s jersey number in front and his name on the right sleeve.
The piece is one of many that her fellow NFL WAG has designed after rediscovering her love for designing clothing.
Here, DailyMail.com looks at the life of Kristin Juszczyk, the person behind some of the NFL’s most iconic outfits…
San Francisco-based designer Kristin Juszczyk designed Taylor Swift’s custom Kelce jacket
Swift wore the piece with Kelce’s number and name printed over the Chiefs’ signature red
Juszczyk learned sewing at a young age but did not rediscover her passion until later in life
While many would assume that Juszczyk got a degree in a fashion-related field, that could not be farther from the truth.
The New York native attended the University of Rhode Island from 2012-2014 before transferring to Townson University in Maryland and earning her degree in marketing.
This would soon come in handy as Juszczyk now runs her own business, making custom pieces for some of sports’ biggest names.
According to her website, Juszczyk found her love for sewing at a young age but did not expect to make a living out of it until later.
‘Everyone always asks if I studied fashion in college and the answer is no!’ Juszczyk writes. ‘Although, my love for sewing was kind of instilled in me at a young age. I spent countless nights crocheting with my grandma while watching Wheel of Fortune.
‘I definitely hung up my needle and thread for a few years,’ she added. ‘More like 20 years.’

The pair relocated to the Bay Area after Kyle signed with the 49ers and tied the knot in 2019
During her time at Townson, Kristin met Kyle who was then playing for the local Baltimore Ravens.
In 2017, Kyle signed his first contract to join the San Francisco 49ers and tied the knot with Kristin two years later.
Kristin’s passion for fashion design was rekindled as she was making Halloween costumes for her and Kyle. Her reconnecting with an old hobby soon led to a life-changing realization.
‘I rediscovered my love of sewing one Halloween when I decided to make a costume for Kyle and I,’ Juszczyk writes. ‘After finishing that project, I got a feeling like I’ve never felt before, a feeling like this is what I should have been doing my whole life.
‘I then began reworking my game day outfits for Kyle’s games. I started reworking old t-shirts, jerseys, and even footballs into fresh designs. I continue to challenge myself to create new styles and broaden my skill set.’
Juszczyk’s love for designing would turn into a business, making clothes for fellow WAGs
Aside from Taylor Swift, Juszczyk also made pieces for Simone Biles and Brittany Mahomes
Kyle’s teammates Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk soon caught up and ordered their pieces
Designing her own unique outfits would soon evolve into a successful business for Juszczyk. She has since designed pieces for fellow WAGs Simone Biles and Brittany Mahomes as well as her husband’s teammates Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel.
Although her pieces have been worn by some big names, Swift is arguably Kristin’s most popular client. After Swift’s jacket gained virality, Kyle made sure to give his wife a shout on various comment sections.
Having her new-found success, Juszczyk advocates for continuous discovery and tapping into one’s passions, no matter how late in life.
‘I am completely self taught,’ she writes. ‘I’ve learned everything I know from YouTube. I have to say I’ve never felt more fulfilled in my life.
‘I absolutely love what I do and just want to let you all know it’s never too late in life to rediscover a passion or talent!’
