Fans have taken to social media to slam ESPN’s broadcast of the Quick Lane Bowl, after it featured more coverage of the star quarterback’s FIANCEE than some of the players.
Minnesota football ended its season on a high note, defeating Bowling Green 30-24 on Tuesday night, but much of the screen time came away from the field of play.
Golden Gophers QB Cole Kramer made his first career start in the win and the TV cameras seemingly wanted to document the occasion by featuring his fiancee Katie Miller on their broadcast.
Incredibly, Miller got more screen time than most of the football players, akin to how Taylor Swift is treated any time she attends one of boyfriend Travis Kelce’s NFL games with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fans hoping to tune in to see only gridiron action weren’t too pleased with the constant references to Miller and her relationship with Kramer.
Because of how much Miller was shown, she became a viral sensation overnight.

‘We need to start buying Katie Miller gifts from her registry,’ another fan on X said.
‘[Over/Under] on how many times Katie Miller will be mentioned in the 4th Quarter? I’ll set the line at 9.5 and take the over,’ another fan predicted.
